TRANSFER OF TRAINING REFERS TO THE EXTENT TO WHICH COMPETENCIES LEARNED IN TRAINING CAN BE APPLIED ON THE JOB.TRANSFER MAY BE POSITIVE(IT ENHANCES JOB PERFORMANCE),NEGATIVE(IT HAMPERS JOB PERFORMANCE)OR NEUTRAL.FOR POSITIVE TRANSFER IT MUST BE ENSURED THAT THE TRAINEES : 1.ARE CONFIDENT IN USING THEIR NEWLY LEARNED SKILLS. 2.ARE AWARE OF THE WORK SITUATION WHERE DEMONSTRATION OF THE NEWLY LEARNED SKILLS IS APPROPRIATE. 3.PERCEIVE THAT THEIR JOB PERFORMANCE WILL IMPROVE IF THEY USE THE NEW SKILLS. 4.BELIEVE THAT THE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS LEARNED ARE HELPFUL IN SOLVING WORK RELATED PROBLEMS.
