Preserving the Mental Attitude of Successful People
By Kori Puckett

Some people can never be kept down. They march forward in a defiant manner, and take by right the best of everything that the earth affords. But they do not lie in wait, or scheme, or seek to adapt the sails of their ship to catch the breeze of the next big thing. Still, they are always alert and alive to any good that may come their way. And when it does come, they simply act on it without hesitation, moving steadily on.

Whenever you go out, raise your chin up, hold your head high, and take deep breaths. Drink in the sunshine. Greet your friends with a smile, and put soul into every handshake.

Do not fear being misunderstood, and never waste a moment thinking about your enemies. Try to fix firmly in your own mind what you would like to do. Then you will move straight to the goal.

Fear splits the ship on the rocks. Hate strands the boat in shallow waters. When you become fearful, your judgment is as unreliable as a compass of a ship whose hold is full of iron ore. when you hate, you have set sail without an anchor. And if you dwell on what your enemies have to say about you, you've allowed a simple sneeze to turn into the flu and render the whole ship's crew useless.

Keep your mind on the great things you would like to achieve. And then, as the days go drift by, you will find yourself unconsciously seizing the opportunities that are required for the fulfillment of your desire.. Picture in your mind the able, confident, useful person you desire to be. That thought consistently transforms you into that particular individual you so admire.

Preserve the right mental attitude of courage, honesty, and cheerfulness, and good things will come to you like a magnet.

Author has tried to comment on one elemental desire underlying all human actions i.e success. Not only that , he has also endeavoured to place it in the context of interdependent concepts existing in the intellectual discipline of Management. Since he is talking about success in general, he has considered it worthwhile to go for a presise dissection, delving deep into the the attitude taking a person to the ultimate destination of success. Since human beings are gi9ven the power of verbal expression coupled with the strong signals emanating from the body language, so he has discussed the significance of both; not only with reference to any given specific situation but in the context of persistent attitudes becoming a identification signatures of the person involved. So far so good, the rest is for any observer is to see through a watchful eye on human behaviour. These observations are supposed to lend credibility to the spectrum of events; simultaneously establishing credibility to what the author has said in this otherwise brief message.
